Characters are placed into a printer queue and print at the selected speed. High-speed presets are available up to 600 lines per minute. Only visible printed characters produce sound; spaces are silent. Use TEST SOUND once if your browser has not yet enabled audio. The supplied printer recording is now pitch-raised and aggressively amplified/compressed for much stronger per-character playback. Enter performs a line feed. Tab advances to the next 8-column stop. Text wraps automatically at column 80. ASCII files are printed through the same character-by-character mechanism.

Simulation details: selectable 80- or 132-column printing, alternating green bars, continuous fanfold paper, tractor-feed holes on both sides, page perforations, selectable dot-matrix or chain-impact printing, line feed, form feed, ASCII file input, and adjustable mechanical print delay, authentic per-character sound from the supplied printer recording, free scrolling while a job prints, selectable speeds up to 600 lines per minute, automatic page-feed behavior with 3 blank lines at the top and bottom of each page, green-bar color preserved when printing to a color printer or saving as PDF, and PDF/printer pages sized to traditional 11-inch continuous forms so each simulated perforation coincides with an actual PDF page break.
